Labor Day weekend is ahead

Baking my 3 loaf pumpkin bread with dates, nuts and raisins. Will cook tomorrow for the common area treats tomorrow~no idea yet what that will be.
I am seeing many guests from Italy and the UK recently. The bartlett pears are getting huge on my pear tree, I decided to put bird netting around the bottom of the limbs to keep the pears from falling all over the driveway and hopefully I will save many more that way. I probably get a couple of bushels by seasons end, many go in to my cooking, freezer and for guests to take when they leave.
Lobster college is happening this month, and the Maine Ghost Hunters Weekend will be Halloween weekend~that should be a grand time as well!!! They are a wonderful group of investigators, they have been here about 3 times, yes, there are "spirits".
I am not all that consistent with blogging, am not sure what to say.
If any of you have any questions that can trigger a good topic about innkeeping for me, ask away!
It's been a strange season, too much rain~although I didn't get any cancellations because of the rain! But it was cold as well, so it was not the best of summers, then you throw in the economic state of the USA~YIKES~
Well, need to check the pumpkin breads~chat soon.
Dianne
